California pastor claims Satan is behind gays getting married
A California pastor has claimed that Satan is responsible for gay weddings.
The claim comes from pastor Jim Garlow, the pastor of Skyline Church in San Diego
Speaking at the Family Leadership Summit in Iowa, Garlow suggested that gay couples getting married is a Satanic plot.
The pastor claimed that the marriage of men and women in the Bible is actually an anagram for God
He said: āYou put male and female together, [Hebrew words] ish and ishah, and you get yod hey ā thatās the name for God.
āThatās the foundation name that appears 6,800 times in the Hebrew text. Yod hey, itās the name Yahweh.ā
He added: āThe bottom line is this. If I were Satan, I would want to destroy on the earth the image of God.
āThis is why marriage is such a hotbed issue. Itās more than just the issue of homosexuality.
āItās much more than that. Itās much more cosmic. Itās big, itās enormous.
āThey want to destroy the very image of God upon the planet. This is a demonic happening in our midst.ā

Garlow previously claimed that people who support same-sex marriage should move to houses where the plumbing doesnāt work.
The pastor said: āAll the people who advocate for so-called same-sex marriage ought to have to live in homes in which the plumbers who built them, or the electricians who built them, didnāt understand the difference between the male and female end of piping or plumbing or of electrical as well, and see how that home works out for them.ā
āIt doesnāt work. It canāt work because God has made male and female spiritually, physically, psychology, and emotionally as complementary to each other, completing each other.ā
Before the Supreme Court ruled in favour of equal marriage, he prophesied Christians would be āforced undergroundā, and ātheir buildings will be taken away from themā.
He claimed: āIn European countries, where they changed the laws regarding what the definition of marriage is and people just stopped getting marriage. And youād think marriage rates would go up. Instead, they dropped because nobody respects the institution anymore.ā
āIf same-sex so-called marriage is established as the law of the land, many of the people who are listening to my voice right now, not maybe immediately but at some point in the future, if they are followers of Christ, will be forced underground. Their buildings will be taken away from them, many of their rights will be taken away from them.ā
Now equal marriage is law, Christians still own many buildings.
