Sean Spicer ‘spotted stealing a mini-fridge from junior White House staff’ following resignation
Former press secretary Sean Spicer has allegedly been spotted stealing a mini fridge from junior staffers following his resignation.
Spicer resigned from the position yesterday after an unsteady six months in which he made a number of blunders.
In the evening following his resignation, the 45-year-old reportedly sent an aide to retrieve the mini fridge which was kept in an office where researchers work.
Spicer had apparently been after the fridge since starting at the White House in January, but those working in the office refused to give it to him because they stored their food inside of it.
A junior staff member told the Wall Street Journal that researchers were “crammed into a room, surviving on Lean Cuisine Frozen lunches” and refused to give up the ice box when they were told Spicer wanted it.
When the former Navy Commander was told that he could not have the icebox he set his sights on it and was reportedly seen carrying it down the presidential driveway after 8 pm.
Spicer is now being mocked online for the allegations.
“I will pay a million dollars for footage of Sean Spicer kidnapping a mini-fridge undercover of darkness,” Ivan Hernandez wrote.
Spicer became a favourite character for the cast of Saturday Night Live to mock.
In the sketches, McCarthy rides Spicer’s podium through the streets of New York on her way to find President Trump, played by Alec Baldwin.
Before that, she donned a bunny costume as Spicer during Easter to explains Passover, after the real life Spicer said that Bashar al-Assad wasn’t “as bad as Hitler” because Hitler didn’t use gas in his attacks.
As well as playing Sessions, McKinnon played Hillary Clinton in spoofs of the presidential debates, as well as a cold open which saw her emotionally sing Hallelujah following the election.
