West Wing star describes Trump supporters as homophobic, misogynistic cocks
West Wing star Joshuha Malina is not happy with Trump supporters.
The actor, best known for his appearance as Will Bailey on the political drama and role as David Rosen on Scandal.
Malina, an outspoken Democrat and opponent of Trump, took to Twitter to vent about heightening tensions between President Trump and North Korea.
North Korea this week threatened a strike on a US military base in Guam, while Trump vowed to respond with “fire and fury”.
“If you’re one of the stupid cocks who voted for this stupid cock, do you not feel like a stupid cock?”
The comments attracted abuse from Trump supporters, after the comments were picked up by right-wing outlets Breitbart and Fox News.
He added: “I have written a thousand tweets about the excrescence that is @realDonaldTrump and his benighted followers, yet suddenly I’m news? #cock
“Had fun w Trump supporters on Twitter 2day! In addition to stupid, they are homophobic, antisemitic, misogynistic, transphobic, and unfunny.
“I’m not stereotyping. I am referring to actual people with whom I interacted today.”
One Trump supporter told Malina: “Hope u get one up yr ass! You dont even deserve to call yourself an American! I hope yr cock rots off and then u chock on it”.
Malina responded: “Homophobic Trump Supporter. I wonder why he feels safe spouting this stuff, when his President is such an ardent supporter of LQBTQ rights.”
It emerged today that threats of military action against North Korea might derail the US government’s plans to purge transgender people from the military.
Trump stirred anger last month by announcing he would impose a ban on transgender soldiers serving openly in the military.
But according to the Los Angeles Blade, the directive on purging transgender troops – which was set to be sent to Defense Secretary James Mattis – has been temporarily shelved as the White House and military scrambles to ready itself for the threat of military action.
Yesterday five soldiers with more than 60 combined years of service have filed a lawsuit challenging Trump’s planned ban on transgender people in the military.
Lawyers from GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) and the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) filed the federal lawsuit on behalf of 5 transgender service members with nearly 60 years of combined military service.
The plaintiffs serve in the Air Force, the Coast Guard, and the Army. Their years of service range from three years to two decades, and include tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
