Will Young did the weather forecast on Sky News and it did not go to plan
Will Young has tried his hand at a new career – as a weather presenter.
The singer was appearing on Sky News this week to promote his new podcast, Homo Sapiens.
After discussing the new LGBT podcast, Will was offered the chance of a lifetime to play at presenting the weather.
But it’s fair to say viewers weren’t entirely convinced.
Regular weather presenter Nazaneen Ghaffar reassured viewers that she would be doing the report, while Will would be tasked with pointing the locations.
Naz told viewers: “Don’t worry, I’ll tell you what the forecast is, Will is going to point.”
However his geography skills seemed slightly lacking at times.
After pointing to England and Wales – which is hard to miss – Naz told viewers that could be showers in the Midlands.
Repeating the word “Midlands”, she then pointed Will in the direction of the region.
And while his geography wasn’t so quick-thinking, his facial reactions were on point, with a very sad face at the news it would rain in Scotland.

The former Pop Idol champion is currently promoting his new podcast, branded an LGBT version of Woman’s Hour.
Opening up about his own challenges with homophobia, the singer recently revealed that had been victim to anti-gay language, as well as gang violence and threats with weapons.
He said: “I’ve had to run away from knife threats, hide in shops. I’ve also taken people on.”
Young also recently revealed an awkward Grindr story after his X-rated pictures were allegedly leaked.
