Kesha has unveiled the music video for her new anthem ā€˜Rainbowā€™.

The singer, who came out as bisexual in 2013, made her long-awaited return to music last year after her ongoing legal battles with a guest spot on Zeddā€™s ā€˜True Colorsā€™.

ā€˜Rainbowā€™ is the title track from her third album, released today. It follows 2012ā€™s Warrior and her 2010 debut Animal.

The song is her latest comeback track and follows ā€˜Prayingā€™ which was released last month.

The ā€˜Rainbowā€™ music video ā€“ which you can watch in full below ā€“ shows Kesha recording the song live-to-tape at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles.

In the track, Kesha sings: ā€œIā€™ve found a rainbow, rainbow, baby / Trust me, I know, life is scary / But just put those colours on, girl / Come and play along with me tonightā€

The understated but stunning music video begins with Kesha and her male backing singers running through part of the chorus a capella.

The song then kicks off with piano and Keshaā€™s solo vocals before the other instruments build up.

Kesha recently gave a live performance of another Rainbow track, ā€˜Womanā€™ which contained a nod to Destinyā€™s Child in its lyrics.

ā€œI buy my own things / I pay my own bills / These diamond rings / my automobiles,ā€ she sings.

The official video for that track showed Kesha at the Oddity Bar, a bar in Delaware which holds drag shows.

Andrea McCauley, one of the owners of Oddity Bar, told PinkNews that her bar holds ā€œa drag show on the last Sunday of every month called, Oddityā€™s Night of Divasā€.

She added that the institutionā€™s bartender, Ron Killen aka Veronica Kitten, ā€œorganises and hosts the shows, and thatā€™s her behind the bar in the videoā€.

Prior to last yearā€™s Presidential election, Kesha urged her fans to vote for Hillary Clinton rather than Donald Trump in the hope of protecting LGBT rights in the US.
