Saudi Arabia arrests 14-year-old for dancing in the street
Saudi Arabia has arrested a 14-year-old boy for dancing in the street.
The teenager was filmed dancing to what appears to be the Macarena in a street on Tahlia Street in Jeddah.
While the video was taken some time in 2016, it was recently reported.
According to Saudi police spokesperson colonel Ati bin Atiya al-Qarshi, the “accused” was arrested after “confidential investigations” took place.
The original video has been retweeted thousands of times.
It was titled “Jeddah boy dancing in the middle of Tahlia Street is the hero we need”.

It was shared by many including one person who wrote: “Dance like the religious morality police aren’t watching.”
Another wrote: “Saudi police arrests 14-year-old boy who’s video went viral. Apparently, being happy is considered a crime nowadays.”
Saudi Arabian police earlier this year tortured to death two Pakistani cross-dressers.
Saudi Arabia also this year created a girls’ council, with just one problem.
Donald Trump, who repeatedly used LGBT rights in Saudi Arabia to attack Hillary Clinton, this year failed to actually bring up LGBT rights during his Presidential trip to Saudi Arabia.
