TV drama about George Michael and boyfriend Fadi Fawaz’s ‘outrageous’ behaviour leaves family furious
George Michael’s family are said to be furious at a new TV biopic of the late singer’s life.
Family members have lashed out at production bosses for their dramatisation of George and boyfriend Fadi Fawaz’s relationship.
They had hoped the Wham! star would be remembered primarily for his music and charity work – not his personal controversies.
Stars revealed news of the show online – saying the new programme has already been filmed.
Greek performer Konstantinos Kavakiotis wrote on Instagram that he will portray George’s last boyfriend, Fadi Fawaz.
He wrote: “Just finished filming for ITV’s docudrama about the life of the iconic music legend George Michael, in which I am playing the Lebanese Fadi Fawaz.
“What an experience.”
However family members have been left reeling by the project.
A source told The Sun: “George’s family want to focus on his music and career.
“The idea of someone taking elements of his lifestyle and sensationalising them for entertainment couldn’t be further away from that.”

The singer had been accused of drug abuse and sex in public toilets on repeat occasions during his life.
He was even found slumped against the wheel of his car after allegedly driving while high.
He was found dead by his boyfriend Fadi Fawaz on Christmas Day 2016, age 53.
Fawaz has struggled since the death, posting online about his struggles to make money and come to terms with his partner’s passing.
The Lebanese photographer penned an emotional poem telling of his struggle since the death.
The late star’s partner revealed he feels regret about being unable to save Michael.

Fadi writes: “One heart decides to fail, I find myself in hell, Now I feel ashamed, One Christmas Day.”
He goes on to admit he “hates that day”.
The final verse reads: “I go to bed to lay, I feel more ashamed, I try to hide my head, Pillows turn to red, I lost my way, One Christmas Day.”
Fawaz also says he has struggled to afford food and water since the sudden death.
