Piers Morgan left in agony after breaking three ribs – and the internet wasn’t kind
Piers Morgan has been left in agony after a brutal fall that left him with three broken ribs.
The Good Morning Britain (GMB) presenter wrote that the incident happened as a result of “falling flat on my a**e”.
The 52-year-old was rushed to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as NHS doctors worked to help the embattled telly man.
The presenter had been due to return to screen on September 4th, following an extensive summer break.
His return has now been left in jeopardy after the fall – meaning summer stand-in hosts Jeremy Kyle and Richard Madeley could take over the role.
Announcing the news to his six million followers he tweeted: “BREAKING (literally…) NEWS: I’ve broken 3 ribs falling flat on my a***.
“Thanks to @ChelwestFT staff for speedy treatment. ”

Trying to work out what’s causing me more pain, Wenger or 3 broken ribs.
Fairly sure it’s Wenger. ??— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 29, 2017
But Twitter users weren’t quick to send sympathies to Piers, who has previously claimed he hates non-binary people in explosive telly debates.
Piers even retweeted one damning follower who wrote: “Apparently @piersmorgan has broken 3 ribs. I’ve broke 6 laughing about this.”

Piers has previously been condemned as “bigoted and transphobic” for his comments regarding non-binary people.
“No-one has the right to deny another person’s gender identity, and to mock them for trying to live an authentic life is a form of bullying and completely unacceptable,” a Stonewall spokesperson said of his past attacks.
