People are buying Milo Yiannopoulos’ book with lube and blonde hair dye
Obsessive fans of former Breitbart writer Milo Yiannopoulos appear to be taking their fixation with him a bit too far.
Yiannopoulos, a gay ultra-conservative, has earned a large following online as a prominent supporter of Donald Trump and as a ‘hero’ of the far-right.
The bleach-haired former Breitbart writer recently self-published his book ‘Dangerous’ to near-universal poor reviews from critics.
The book is apparently doing well among his online followers.
However, we couldn’t help but notice the other things they bought.
In its related items section, online retailer Amazon lists some of the other items picked up at the same time as Milo’s book.
Alongside a swathe of other anti-Islam books and first person shooter video games, purchases from Milo admirers include a blonde hair lightening creme, and ‘intimate sexual lubricant’.
Apparently a lot of Milo fans are picking up ‘Super Slik Intimate Lubricant’ while buying the book – which includes details of the gay author’s sexual exploits.
The combination of hair dye and lube suggests people are possibly taking their Milo obsession a little bit too seriously.
Yiannopoulos, a former columnist and semi-professional internet troll, has previously claimed he would ‘cure’ himself of being gay if he could, and described trans people as “mentally ill gay men dressing up for attention”.
He was banned from Twitter last year after allegedly encouraging a wave of racist abuse directed at Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones, while he also took advantage of a university speech on his ‘Dangerous Faggot’ lecture tour to single out and bully a transgender student on-stage.
Yiannopoulos was sacked from Breitbart earlier this year after damaging tapes emerged in which he discussed men who have sex with underage boys.
In one video, Yiannopoulos attacks the age of consent as an “arbitrary one-size-fits-all policing of culture”.
He also claimed that “in the homosexual world, particularly, some of those relationships between younger boys and older men (…) help those young boys discover who they are”.
Yiannopoulos later confirmed he would be “resigning” from Breitbart in the wake of the row.
He was reportedly already in line to be sacked, with more than a dozen staffers were prepared to quit if he was not removed.
The writer previously angrily hit back at critics in a Facebook post titled “A note for idiots”.
Referring to the unedited five-minute tape of his comments, he said: “There are selectively edited videos doing the rounds, as part of a co-ordinated effort to discredit me from establishment Republicans, that suggest I am soft on the subject.
“If it somehow comes across (through my own sloppy phrasing or through deceptive editing) that I meant any of the ugly things alleged, let me set the record straight: I am completely disgusted by the abuse of children.”
