Business chief caught on tape calling Kathy Griffin a ‘bald dyke’ in homophobic rant

Kathy Griffin was the victim of homophobic abuse from her neighbour Jeffrey Mezger, the CEO of US property giant KB Home.
Mezger has been CEO and chairman of KB Home since 2006, and has worked there since 1993, his official biography states.
Griffin and her boyfriend called Los Angeles police to report a noise disturbance coming from Mezger’s home, according to security camera audio provided by Huffpost.
Mezger, who lives with his wife in the same gated community as Griffin and her boyfriend, responded by shouting sexist and homophobic slurs at the controversial comedian.
Evidence shows him calling Griffin a “bald dyke” and a “c**t” after she reported him to the police.
The audio from the incident, which Huffpost received from Griffin’s long-term boyfriend, was caught on security cameras after the police were called.
In the audio, Mezger was heard calling Griffin a “fucking bald dyke” whom President Trump “kind of put the heat on.”
Griffin shaved her head in July to support her sister, Joyce, who was undergoing chemotherapy treatments.
Joyce Griffin died on Thursday.
Mezger also went on to say, “Let’s declare war, asshole, ‘cause we got a lot to go for.”
“Bring it on, you bitch.”
He also referred to Griffin as a “fucking c**t”.
A KB Home spokesperson told Huffpost, “Mr Mezger regrets losing his temper over a supposed noise complaint involving his three young grandchildren in his swimming pool around 8pm.”
“He apologises for the language he used, as it does not reflect who he is or what he believes.”
It’s been a year since Griffin and her boyfriend moved into their home and they filed noise complaints almost immediately after, according to logs received from the homeowner’s association.
Mezger was quoted as telling the homeowner’s association that he and his wife don’t often host parties, and that Griffin and her boyfriend “need to adapt.”
The couple have called the LA police five times with noise complaints since moving in.
