TV doctors intervene over fears for Aaron Carter as he checks into rehab
Aaron Carter has checked into rehab after an intervention by TV execs.
Friends of the singer feared he was on the
“verge of death” earlier this week after a series of erratic behaviours.
Earlier in the month he appeared on US TV show Doctors where he confessed to a string of abuses and addictions.
A spokesperson for the musician confirmed that he was trying to get his life back on track after he was taken ill earlier this week.
They said: “Aaron has decided to enter a facility to improve his health and work on his overall wellness.
“He is going to do this privately and focus all his attention on being the best person and performer possible.
“He is grateful for the support and love from his fans and looks forward to coming back stronger than ever before.”

It has now been revealed the star was urged to go by bosses of the programme who pledged to cover the costs.
However they were keen that Carter make the choice on his own.
An insider told PerezHilton: “Aaron’s decision to enter a facility was his own and a choice he made for himself.
“He very much wishes to be left alone so he can focus on his wellness.”
Police were called to Carter’s Florida home after neighbours reported that he was acting “erratic”.
Since coming out as bisexual earlier this year, Carter has had a rollercoaster journey as he split from his partner.
He revealed his struggles with drug abuse, cosmetic surgery addiction and plummeting weight.
Those close to him claimed that he “threatened to take his own life multiple times in the past few weeks”.
It’s claimed Carter threatened to take his life by mixing Xanax, Clonopin [sic], and “Dusters” (computer dusters).
A woman also made a desperate 911 call to the St. Petersburg Police on 5th September alerting officials that Carter was driving around after “inhaling computer duster.”
The worried onlooker claimed the brother of Nick Carter is “very very ill, he’s on the verge of death.”
She then told cops that the next time “you guys go out there it’s going to be finding him dead.”
The caller states, “He’s been driving drunk all night… I’m sure he was driving fast and intoxicated.”
