Clea DuVall joins cast of Handmaid’s Tale as wife of Ofglen
Actor Clea DuVall has joined the cast of Handmaid’s Tale as the wife of character Ofglen.
DuVall will play Sylvia in season 2 of the hit show, which will air some time in 2018.
Sylvia is the wife of Ofglen, played by Alexis Bledel.
The characters are married despite the totalitarian regime in the fictional country Gilead.

According to TV Line, the second season of the show will explore their relationship, when Ofglen used to be called Emily.
It will also see their attempts “to get their young son to safety in Canada as the Gilead regime rapidly extends its control over America.”
DuVall is known for roles in Veep and Better Call Saul.
She is well known for appearing in the 1999 hit ‘But I’m a Cheerleader’.

Ofglen, in season one of the Handmaid’s Tale managed to keep her sexuality a secret.
But she was later caught with another woman, Martha, who is hanged in front of her.
Ofglen is later sent away to be subjected to a clitoridectomy.
Bledel won an Emmy for Oustanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.
