‘He grabbed my whole package’: another allegation of sexual misconduct against Kevin Spacey

A filmmaker has gone public with an allegation of sexual assault against House of Cards star Kevin Spacey, following Anthony Rapp’s claims.
Rapp, who features in the new Star Trek TV series, accused Kevin Spacey of making sexual advances on him when he was 14.
Rapp claimed that in 1986, a 26-year-old Spacey invited him to a party at his New York apartment and climbed on top of the child, “trying to get with me sexually.”

In an interview with BuzzFeed, Rapp, now 46, said he managed to flee before the encounter progressed any further.
In response, Spacey wrote on Twitter that he didn’t remember the incident, but apologised for “what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour.”

The two-time Oscar winner added that he was “sorry for the feelings he [Rapp] describes having carried with him all these years,” before saying: “I choose now to live as a gay man.”
Now, filmmaker Tony Montana has said that Spacey sexually assaulted him in 2003.
Speaking to entertainment website Radar, he said: “I went up to order a drink and Kevin came up to me and put his arm around me.

“He was telling me to come with him, to leave the bar.
“He put his hand on my crotch forcefully and grabbed my whole package.”

Montana, whose film Overnight was an Official Selection of the Sundance Film Festival, said Spacey – who he recalled seemed to be drunk – then told him: “This designates ownership.”
Montana, who was in his 30s, had to physically get Spacey off him, he said.
“I put my hand down and turned his thumb back to get his hand off it,” he claimed.
“I paid for my drink and got away from him.”
But, he alleged, Spacey then followed him to the bathroom, leading him to have to physically stop him again.

“I backed him out the door and I pushed him,” Montana said.
“One of his friends was in line and I said: ‘It’s time to take your boy home.’
“They all ended up leaving.”

Montana said the event had haunted him.
“I never talked to anyone about it except for therapists.
“I had PTSD for six months after.

“It was an emasculating thing for someone to do to me,” he said.
“Whenever I went to the bar I would see if he was there or have my back against the wall.”
But after reading Rapp’s allegations, he came forward.

“This wasn’t something people were talking about openly,” said Montana.
“It still feels awkward. I still feel what I felt then. I put it into the back of my mind until I saw him come forward.
“When you’re trying to accomplish something in the industry, you have things that inspire you, that can help move you forward.

“You have setbacks and haunted experiences. No matter what happens you have to keep going.”
The International TV Academy has withdrawn an honour it was due to give Spacey.
The American Beauty actor was due to be handed the 2017 International Emmy Founders Award in three weeks, on November 20, at a glamorous event in New York.

In the wake of the allegations and Spacey’s response, Netflix also announced that House of Cards would be ending after its sixth season.
A representative for Netflix said yesterday that the streaming company was “deeply troubled by last night’s news concerning Kevin Spacey.”
And this afternoon, Netflix announced it was suspending production on the show’s sixth season.
