Sam Smith reveals full extent of vile homophobic abuse
Singer Sam Smith sent the internet into a tailspin after he was photographed with 13 Reasons Why star Brandon Flynn.
But now he as revealed it isn’t just gossip about his boyfriends he receives online.
Sam says he is subjected to constant homophobic abuse from social media trolls.

“I get homophobic abuse on a daily basis on social media,” he told the Herald Sun.
“I do feel so lucky to be making music when I am,” he commented.
“I know things were so much tougher back in the day, but we’ve still got such a long way to go.
“I still don’t feel like everything is where it should be.
He continued: “We’ll see when I start singing Him in certain parts of the world.
“I hope people listen and accept, but there [are] people who aren’t going to.”
His new album, in which he talks about his feelings for other men, is largely auto biographical.
“Him is my version of a hymn,” Sam says, speaking of his new album.
“People will take different things from that song.
“I wouldn’t say I’m religious, I’m more of a spiritual person. I went to Catholic school all my life.
“There’s parts of every religion I agree with and parts of every religion I disagree with.”
The multi-platinum selling artist says the songs on his album are about a number of men he had relationships with while making the album.
But now it looks like he has found romance after he was snapped making out with Netflix star Brandon Flynn.
The pair looked relaxed and content as they were papped strolling through New York City together.
In one photograph, the two guys can be seen kissing while Sam has his arm around the 13 Reasons Why actor.

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, he revealed he had been unlucky in love throughout writing his new album.
Sam joked he had kissed “hundreds and hundreds” of boys in his time away, before adding: “No, not that many, but I did kiss a few men.
“Ran around the streets of London and had a good time and I kind of got back to normal life last year.”
Asked about his romance with 13 Reasons Why star Brandon Flynn, Sam gushed: “No I’m not [single], which is crazy!
“It’s weird bringing out an album and not being single. When I brought out In The Lonely Hour I was so lonely.
“But now I’m singing songs about this other guy, but I’m quite happy.”
