Lady Gaga’s boyfriend has proposed to her – and she said yes!

The global superstar is reported to have accepted a hand in marriage from her boyfriend over summer.

Husband-to-be Christian Carino apparently asked Lady Gaga’s dad if he could propose before popping the question.

Gaga and the 48-year-old, who works as a celebrity agent with the likes of Harry Styles and Miley Cyrus, have been together for 10 months.

She was engaged to previous boyfriend Taylor Kinney, until the relationship broke off before they wed less than a year ago.

In her Netflix documentary Five Foot Two, Gaga told of how she was left devastated by the failed relationship.

Now she’s thought to be besotted with her new lover.

However don’t expect to see the wedding pics any time soon – the pair are expected to have a long engagement while they deal with Gaga’s health.

She recently had to cancel her Joanne world tour after she was rushed to hospital with chronic pain.

A number of dates on her Joanne World Tour have been rescheduled as Gaga announced to fans on Instagram that she was suffering with “severe pain” impacting “her ability to perform”.

In an official statement issued by Gaga’s representatives, it was confirmed that she is “under the care of expert medical professionals who recommended the postponement”.

The statement confirmed that Gaga will not be touring for at least seven weeks as she “heals from this and past traumas that still affect her”.

Writing alongside a photo of herself holding rosary beads, Lady Gaga explained that she had always tried to be “honest” about her mental and physical health.

“It is complicated and difficult to explain, and we are trying to figure it out.

“As I get stronger and when I feel ready, I will tell my story in more depth and plan to take this on strongly so I can not only raise awareness but expand research for others who suffer as I do, so I can help make a difference,” she wrote.

The star went on to explain that she was shocked at the negative reaction she had received so far online.

“I use the word “suffer” not for pity, or attention, and have been disappointed to see people online suggest that I’m being dramatic, making this up, or playing the victim to get out of touring.

“If you knew me, you would know this couldn’t be further from the truth. I’m a fighter.

“I use the word suffer not only because trauma and chronic pain have changed my life, but because they are keeping me from living a normal life.”

She finished the moving post by adding that she hopes the short break from the tour will allow her to keep on performing “for the next 60 years or more”.

“They are also keeping me from what I love the most in the world: performing for my fans.

“I am looking forward to touring again soon, but I have to be with my doctors right now so I can be strong and perform for you all for the next 60 years or more. I love you so much,” she added.
