Joe Biden 2020? Ellen DeGeneres asks if she or Oprah Winfrey can be Vice President
Joe Biden says he hasnāt ruled out running for president.
Biden, who served as US Vice President for eight years under Barack Obama, told Ellen DeGeneres that he is yet to make his mind up.
Appearing on Ellenās daytime talk show to promote his new book, he refused to rule out a run for the presidency in 2020.
āJust remember thatās what I would like to see,ā Ellen told the Democrat after asking him about the possibility of running.
āI ā honest-to-God, I havenāt made up my mind,ā he revealed in a clip from the show, repeating a sentiment heās expressed in previously.
āIāve done not a single thing to promote that or to organisationally do anything,ā he continued.
āMy dad had another expression, heād say, āJoey, donāt compare me to the almighty, compare me to the alternative.āā
āI think the reason I am looking good now is the alternative.ā

If he were to run for election in 2020, Biden would be 78-years-old on inauguration day, the oldest newly-elected US president ever.
Ellen was quick to make the most of his confession that he might stand for president.
And although most of us would think she has the best job in the world right now, she clearly has hopes for something bigger.
āAnd I donāt know if itās going to be myself or Oprah [Winfrey] as your running mate,ā she joked.
āBut anyway, yes, I understand,ā she said. āYour focus is the book, and it should be.ā
āI love you so much,ā she added.
The former VP condemned Trumpās anti-LGBT policies as in a passionate address at the Democratic National Committeeās LGBT equality gala.
In his speech, Mr Biden said: āOver the years, many of you have thanked me for stating the obvious. Some of you credit me with taking a political risk.
āFrom the bottom of my heart, there was no risk. I took no chance.
āI was just answering what Iāve known all my life, that everyone is entitled to be treated with dignity.ā
