Basketball star embroiled in gay stalker case
Former-professional basketball player Ray Allen has become embroiled in a harassment court case, with a man who claims they were in a relationship for three years.
Bryant Coleman, a staffer in the communications department at the University of Central Florida, filed a restraining order against Ray Allen, saying Allen was stalking and being threatening towards him after the end of their relationship.
Allen, who has been with his wife for over ten years and has five children, does not deny that they had communication, but denies knowing Coleman was a man, and the stalking allegations
He filed an emergency motion, saying that Coleman in fact catfished and stalked Allen.
“Coleman pretended to be a number of attractive women interested in Ray Allen,” read the motion filed on Allen’s behalf.
“Ray believed he was speaking with these women and communicated with them.”
Allen is famous for being one of the most accurate three-point and free throw shooters in NBA history. He won two NBA championships, in 2008 and 2013, was a ten-time NBA All-Star, and won an Olympic gold medal in 2000 on the US Men’s basketball team.

The motion claims that Coleman, pretending to be a woman, gained personal information about Allen, then demanded money to keep the details private.
Allen says the two struck a deal, which was then violated, as Coleman continued to harass Allen and his family on social media.
“He posted about Ray’s wife, Ray’s children, Ray’s dog, Ray’s homes, Ray’s wife’s restaurant, and numerous other personal items,” read the motion.
“Coleman not only posted about these things, he would actually post while physically located inside Ray’s wife’s restaurant in Orlando. And he would make sure they knew it, tagging Ray and his wife on those posts.”
However TMZ Sports reported a statement from Coleman, in which he insists that Allen knew he was a man, and they had a loving and sexual relationship.
“Ray knows how I look, he knows how my voice sounds, he knows how I think, and most importantly, he knows my heart,” Coleman said.
He also said he now believes Allen may try to kill him, that he has been threatened in public and over the phone by Allen and associates, which Allen vehemently enies.
“He is a seriously deranged individual who Ray Allen has never met, never spoken with directly or threatened in any way,” Allen’s attorney, David Markus, said.
“Coleman is the stalker here who is obsessed with Ray.”
