Brandon Flynn and Sam Smith are completely loved up and it’s adorable
13 Reasons Why star Brandon Flynn has taken to Instagram to share a loved-up tribute to his boyfriend Sam Smith and it’s completely adorable.
Flynn, who came out late last year, was inspired to write the post, which listed some of his favourite things of 2017, after watching Call Me By Your Name.
The film, set in 1980’s Italy, follows a gay love story featuring Armie Hammer and Timothy Chalamet.
Alongside a picture of himself and his partner, Sam Smith, Flynn shared a quote from André Aciman.
He wrote: “A few of my favorite things from 2017, as shit as some of it was can’t help but see all the good! Hoping 2018 is full of ups and downs as well… saw Call Me By Your Name today and couldn’t help myself…
“In your place, if there is pain, nurse it, and if there is a flame, don’t snuff it out, don’t be brutal with it.
“Withdrawal can be a terrible thing when it keeps us awake at night, and watching others forget us sooner than we’d want to be forgotten is no better.
“We rip out so much of ourselves to be cured of things faster than we should that we go bankrupt by the age of 30 and have less to offer each time we start with someone new. But to feel nothing so as not to feel anything—what a waste!”
Flynn also used his Instagram platform to come out in September 2017 after he was angered by the No campaign in Australia’s marriage referendum.
He wrote: “Too many of my friends have been kicked out of their homes, kept in the closet, beat up, killed, ridiculed by church and state, institutionalised.
“And you are scared that if we vote YES, you won’t be able to show your hate for Us.”
Shortly after Flynn came out, Sam Smith sent the internet into a tailspin after he was pictured kissing the star.
The multi-platinum selling artist had denied dating anyone just weeks before the photograph, which showed them kissing in New York City, was taken.
The pair seemed to made their relationship official late in December.
The 25-year-old British singer then opened up about his new-found romance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
He revealed he had been unlucky in love throughout writing his new album The Thrill of It All.
When asked if he was single, Smith gushed: “No I’m not, which is crazy!
“It’s weird bringing out an album and not being single. When I brought out In The Lonely Hour I was so lonely.
“But now I’m singing songs about this other guy, but I’m quite happy.”
