Hoaxer poses as George Michael boyfriend Fadi Fawaz and begs for cash

A hoaxer has been impersonating the boyfriend of George Michael in a bid to scam fans out of cash.
Fadi Fawaz, who found the Wham! singer dead on Christmas Day 2016, discovered someone was pretending to be him online when they started begging followers for money.
Fadi was horrified to find the scammer posting photos of him with emotive pleas, claiming to be “emotionally traumatised” and “forever in my heart”.
Writing on his genuine Instagram account Fadi said: “This guy is pretending to be me and asking people for money. Please be aware.”
A source told the Mirror: “This has been infuriating for Fadi and he has asked Instagram to take it down.
“He can’t believe someone has the audacity to do this.”
The scam is particularly cruel as Fadi had spoken out about struggling for money in the wake of his partner’s death.
In a long series of Twitter posts last July, the fine art photographer mysteriously told followers the “truth is yet to be revealed” about George’s death.
He wrote: “The truth is yet to be told, not long now. I mean the whole truth, of course.
“Just the way it happened. One day I will be told the truth.”
During the 11 Tweet rant, he continued: “Looked after him in the most loving and respecting way every day of the last six years and on 26 December.
“Everything stopped and six months later the icon partner still struggle to buy milk and water six months later. That’s is the truth (sic).”
He added: “Lunchtime I didn’t sell a story I searched my car for a pound here and a pound there so I could buy my double cheese burger.”
Days earlier he had simply tweeted “George I am starving,” followed by, “George I am really hungry.”
The photographer wrote online before the first anniversary: “It is very sad you know. If he’s not here, he’s not here.
“There will never ever be a lover in my life after George.
“I do not have anyone in my life and there will never be anyone ever. That is the truth.”
