Kate McKinnon mocked Brigitte Bardot’s #MeToo opinions on SNL and it’s utterly hilarious

Comedian Kate McKinnon has taken aim at French actor Brigitte Bardot over her opinions on the #MeToo movement on Saturday Night Live, and it is utterly hilarious.
Bardot was one of a number of actors who signed an open later calling the movement a “witch hunt” against men.
The 83-year-old accused women who had spoken about their experience of sexual harassment and assault of being “hypocritical and ridiculous”.
She claimed that it was “charming” when men complimented her and said that many “actresses try to play the tease with producers to get a role”.
These women decided to share their stories of harassment after a slew of allegations of sexual misconduct against Harvey Weinstein sparked a mass reveal of sexual misconduct within Hollywood.
Bardot’s comments were met with backlash worldwide, leading her to later apologise to the victims of sexual assault.
However, McKinnon and the SNL team did not want Bardot to get away with the misguided comments so easily and in this weekend’s episode, McKinnon appeared alongside co-star Cecily Strong to imitate Bardot and another French actor, Catherine Deneuve, who also signed the open letter.
McKinnon’s impression of Bardot is savage as the anti-transgender rhetoric begins to tumble out.
“A man is a man, and woman is a woman,” McKinnon quips. “If they are not, they are homos!”
The line is just the start of a hilarious rant in which McKinnon’s Bardot says: “Free Harvey Weinstein! This is a real man!”
Deneuve, who is played by Strong, is seen trying to calm down Bardot but she has no luck.
Bardot continues to explain the real use of female breasts and what homos mean to her before she is cut off by Deneuve.

“Why does woman have breasts? It is for man to grab and pull. This is nature. A drawer have a knob. A woman have 2 knobs.
“You know I love the homos. My only friends are you and birds and homos,” McKinnon says with the blank face that makes her impressions so on point.
“Brigitte is very old,’ Deneuve says, bringing the sketch to a close. “And very wrong.”
McKinnon has quickly become a queer icon, especially with her political impressions on SNL in the lead up to and after the US presidential elections.
Throughout the award winning season, McKinnon took on the character of Hillary Clinton as well as other political figures such as Jeff Sessions and Kelly-Anne Conway.

Hillary Clinton revealed in her memoir What Happened that she “fought back tears” watching McKinnon on Saturday Night Live after her election loss.
Recounting the landmark cold open following the election of Trump, Clinton wrote: “She sat at a grand piano and played ‘Hallelujah,’ the hauntingly beautiful song by Leonard Cohen, who had died a few days before.
“As she sang, it seemed like she was fighting back tears,” Clinton added. “Listening, so was I.”
