Kill people who have gay sex, says Australian boxer Anthony Mundine

Australian boxer Anthony Mundine has said that people who have gay sex should be put to death by the state.
Mundine, who left the Australian version of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! this week, said that capital punishment was “the only way to deter the problem” of homosexuality.
Last month, before appearing on the show, Mundine spoke out to say that gay people were unnatural and “confusing to society.”

He said that “two genders together is natural. My biggest fear is Allah and if Allah prohibits it, then it’s wrong.
“I was always taught that two genders together is natural; it’s what’s meant to be. Male and male, or female and female, is just confusing to society.”
And speaking to the Daily Telegraph in Australia, Mundine went further with his anti-gay remarks.

“If we were to live in a society, just like in Aboriginal culture, that homosexuality is forbidden and you do it and the consequences are capital punishment or death, you think you are going to do it?” he asked.
“Or think twice about doing it?
“That’s the only way to deter the problem.”

The 42-year-old, who also used to play rugby league professionally, added: “Hang them suckers.”
He then clarified that he was referring to “the paedophiles mainly”.
Mundine continued to connect homosexuality with paedophilia, a common trope used by anti-gay people.

In his case, he proposed that LGBT activists were clearing the way for paedophilia to become legal.
“Because they are pushing these gay rights so much in the Western world, the paedophiles out there want their rights,” he said.
“Now they are going to claim to have rights. They want their rights just like the gay people want their rights.”

Mundine then said that gay people “are not going to be happy until they have primary school kids being gay.
“If you are going to be gay, do it behind closed doors. That is how it used to be.”

The boxer then seemed to contradict himself, saying: “I don’t care if you are gay or not, it doesn’t worry me because the creator will judge you later.”
In the hours since the interview went live, Mundine’s Wikipedia page has been changed to call him “a homophobe.”
