Benham brothers blame Parkland shooting on ‘illicit sex’
David Benham and his brother Jason Benham were dropped as TV hosts in 2014 over their anti-gay beliefs
The Benham Brothers have blamed the Parkland shooting on “illicit sex”.
The failed TV hosts pitched in their uncalled for views on the mass school shooting which took place in Florida last week.
The op-ed started off by calling shooter Nikolas Cruz a “troubled, teenage boy” before going on to talk about what they believed led Cruz to carry out the horrific attack.
The twins wrote that “Jesus said, “Out of the heart come evil thoughts – murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander”.

“The bottom line is that we live in a fallen world, where human beings have hearts capable of great evil, aided and abetted by demonic forces of Satan, who come only to “rob, kill, and destroy.”
The pair says that Cruz carried out his evils because he “lives in and has been educated by an American educational system that has completely rejected God, His statutes and His ways”.
The pair writes that it is their “responsibility as Christians to be the hands and feet of Jesus, by weeping with the brokenhearted and bringing comfort in every way possible.”

They finished the op-ed by saying that schools had become a “major problem” because they promoted “illicit sex”.

“This digression can be directly pinned back to the 1960s, where a series of Supreme Court decisions aggressively removed God from our schools,” they write, resulting in an “aggressive dismissal of moral standards.”
They concluded: “It’s time to turn back to the only One who can save us.
“Jesus, who can penetrate the most hardened hearts.”
It’s not the first time the brothers have blamed a tragedy on gay people.
The natural disaster has left at least 69 dead.

In the video on Facebook, the Benhams referred to 9/11, saying: “One of the things that we heard a lot sixteen years ago was ‘rebuild, rebuild, rebuild.’
“But the word we didn’t hear was ‘repent.’”
They went on to say that the deadly hurricane could be equated to a “storm surge of moral corruption” that mirrors God’s anger towards the LGBT+ community.
They have openly spoken out against “homosexuality and its agenda that is attacking the nation”, claiming that “the whole deconstruction of gender [and] of marriage … is a mask for Satan who is robbing and killing and destroying these people who desperately want life.”
They also compared themselves to ISIS victims after being dropped from the show.
The brothers’ statements resulted in them being fired from their jobs as television hosts.
