Kylie Minogue announced as headline act for NYC Pride
Kylie Minogue has been announced as the headline act for this year’s New York City Pride.
The event grew in 2017 with the Dance on the Pier being extended over several days as Pride Island.
Now in 2018, Pride Island returns with Minogue announced as the headline act.
Performances will also feature from Tove Lo, Lizzo and Big Freedia between Saturday 23 June and Sunday 24 June at Pier 97, in the middle of Hell’s Kitchen.

Kylie takes to the stage on Sunday for the closing night of Pride Island.
The Can’t Get You Out Of My Head star is expected to feature tracks from her upcoming album ‘Golden’ which is to be released on 6 April.
Her single ‘Dancing’ is also expected to feature.

In addition to Minogue, Swedish pop star Tove Lo will also feature and is expected to play hits like ‘True Disaster’ and ‘Talking Body’.
Lizzo, a rising star will play hits like ‘Truth Hurts’ and ‘Good As Hell’ on Saturday following on from the headline performance by Lo.
And they will be joined by Simon Dunmore who will play a special set.
Kylie will be joined by Sasha Velour, the winner of season 9 of Rupaul’s Drag Race, and Big Freedia, who featured on Beyonce’s Formation single who will be at the ‘Big Easy’.

DJ Dawson will also play a house music set ahead of Kylie’s headline performance.
Grind, Ralphi Rosario and Corey Craig will DJ live to close the celebrations at Pride Island which will now close at 11pm.
The tickets for New York City Pride will go on sale on Thursday.
