Neil Patrick Harris gets the Ellen treatment during Celine Dion prank
Neil Patrick Harris has been tortured by Ellen during a prank visit to Target.
The How I Met Your Mother star was duped into going to a branch of Target to get some party supplies for an upcoming soirée.
But the prank featured Harris with a fake injury which meant he had to ask for fellow shoppers’ help with his purchases.
The elaborate cast elevated his arm up above his head as DeGeneres gave Harris instructions through an earpiece.
He was told what to say as he asked a shopper to help him buy a variety of drinks from the brand Bubly.
Things got super awkward when Harris was instructed by DeGeneres to invite the shopper to the party, and to hype up the invitation with offers of the chance to hang out with Celine Dion and her children who would also be there.

The story was never finished by Harris, however; as Ellen never instructed him to do so.
The shopper was eventually told the truth after DeGeneres allowed Harris to come clean, but not before he asked the guy to pour Bubly into Harris’ mouth.
The star revealed the prank by saying: “Want to see a magic trick?”

DeGeneres’ hidden camera pranks have become well-known for their funny and friendly endings in recent years.
But one didn’t end well when an audience member got caught stealing on camera.
A YouTube prankster last year took aim at a homophobic troll and pranked him into thinking a zombie apocalypse had started.
Ellen recently had a brilliant surprise for a teacher who pulled a perfect RuPaul inspired prank spelling test on his students.
But this man was so desperate to be on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that he faked the entire thing.
