Musician Le1f is sharing the horrendous racist abuse he gets on Grindr

A musician has revealed just some of the racist abuse he receives on Grindr, and it is horrific.
Rapper Le1f is one of many BME gay people who have to face racism head-on in the LGBTQ community.
It’s not uncommon to see people single out races that they won’t date or hook up in their bio’s.
For the most part, Le1f had figured out a way to avoid the more racist users of Grindr.
However, he was left horrified after one user had a fit of rage that took form in a racist rant.
The user, who has not been identified, had messaged the rapper at first in a flirtatious manner.

However, Le1f didn’t respond to the message – which is a pretty standard procedure as far as dating apps go.
The man, who originally tried to reach out to Le1f, launched into the rant by calling him a “thick-as-sh*t looking n*****”.
“You probably barely speak English; but if you ever do get an education and quit your addiction to getting stoned, then you might learn to have a conversation,” the person wrote.
They finished the disgusting message with yet another racial slur.
Le1f, real name Khalif Diouf, shared the exchange on his Instagram.
“I’m being hella loose and casual on the gram these days but I think y’all should never not see what it’s like to be black,” he wrote alongside the screenshot.

His fans were shocked at the change.
“White NZ (New Zealand), for all of its posturing, is still incredibly racist and this is a good example of that,” one wrote.
Another said: so sorry that this keeps happening… these apps have made things worse.”
“It’s horrible that this is happening,” a third added.
Le1f has since deleted the Instagram post.
He has talked about race on social media in the past.
Writing on Twitter last month, he said: “just because America is racist doesn’t mean the rest of the world isn’t. globally, colorism has been rampant since social darwinism inspired colonialism. being defensive about someone’s experience of discrimination doesn’t fix the problem, but implies you condone it.”
