Queer Eye’s Tom and Abby are engaged

In yet another turn on the rollercoaster of love, Queer Eye’s Tom Jackson has announced his engagement to his partner Abby.

Self-proclaimed redneck Tom Jackson was the first of the fab five makeover’s and his “can’t fix ugly” rhetoric had everyone’s heart literally broken.

But the five worked their magic and transformed Tom’s life.

His wardrobe, basement flat and appearance got a complete overhaul making a more polished version of the Tom we all loved.

His episode came to an end with the “dumb old country boy from Kentucky” rekindling a love with his ex-wife, Abby.

“I love Abby more than anything. She says she loves me, I know I love her,” he shared in the episode before inviting her to a car show. “You’ll have to ask her why she’s not with me.”

The show finished with Tom inviting Abby for another dinner date and we had all the hope for the pair.

A month after the show first aired, Tom took to Twitter to tell his fans that he and Abby had sadly broken up.

He wrote: “It’s official, Abby and I are engaged. What a Netflix special the would be. If the Fab 5 planned and attended our wedding!!!!!!!!!”

Fans of Jackson gushed over the idea of a Netflix special just for the wedding.

One person wrote: “NEED THE WEDDING SPECIAL LIKE I’VE NEVER NEEDED ANYTHING BEFORE!!!!!”

“omg omg omg omg omg I feel the excitement as if I were engaged myself,” another said.

A third added: “Congratulations Tom THIS IS THE BEST NEWS OF THE DAY BY A MILE.”

Fans joked that the Fab Five would be perfect for planning the wedding.

Jonathan would do hair and makeup, Tan would deck the couple about in clothes, Bobby would to the decor for the venue, Antoni would be in charge of the food and Karamo would be the “officiant and hype man”.

The show is a reboot of the successful early 2000s show, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

A new Fab Five was picked out by Netflix, and together the group travelled around Georgia transforming the lives of men.

Fashion guru Tan France has opened up about the sudden fame he’s been launched into after the success of Queer Eye.

He told Page Six: “It’s the strangest feeling going from complete obscurity. Nobody knew who I was, I was a regular guy, to this week where the likes of Bon Jovi stopped me in a hallway to ask me for a photo.”

Before becoming one of the Fab Five, Tan had never appeared on TV or worked in the entertainment business.

“I was terrified of it quite honestly,” he explained. “So when they offered me the job I thought they were insane.”

The star felt so out of his depth at one point that he went to the show’s creator three weeks into filming and asked to be fired because he felt he was “ruining the show”.

I went to the creator of the show in tears saying ‘if you need to fire me please just ahead and do it, I won’t sue you guys just let me go’.”

The creator, David Collins, also started crying and told Tan that he was “better than we ever could have expected you to be.”

Colling was right, as “tens of thousands” of people have messaged Tan thanking him for helping to “change their lives”.
