Radio host: God is making children gay to punish us for abortion

An evangelical radio host has claimed that God makes children gay as a “punishment” for all the abortions in the world.
The surreal claim comes from Linda Harvey of Mission: America, a columnist for far-right website World Net Daily and the host of a fringe evangelical radio show.
Harvey, who is best known for telling religious parents to reject their gay children and to try and cure them, was speaking at the Bringing America Back to Life Convention when she shared her theory on where gay people come from.
In her speech, noted by Right Wing Watch, Harvey suggest the LGBT community was created by God as a “punishment” for all the abortions.
She said: “You may have thought these were separate issues, but they are foundationally connected.
“One has to consider, first of all, the horrifying possibility that this complete sexual and human identity meltdown could be an aspect of God’s judgment on us for aborting millions of our children
“We won’t know until we see him, but it is very possible that as an instrument of God’s judgment, he is using the punishment to come on us through our children, the corruption of our children.
“Even more horrifying, we are letting it happen.”
She continued to paint vivid pictures about gay sex.
Harvey said: “The same-sex pair purposely avoids vaginal intercourse in favour of everything but.
“God has given us a quick way to assess the worth of two males or two females; these avoidance and substitution relationships involve not literal or symbolic life creation, but the opposite.
“They involve the waste functions of the body or empty relations with spilled sperm or substitutes for the male organ. You get the idea.
“They are dead-end, degrading passions. There is no life and there is often disease. It is the recipe for spiritual disaster.”
She added: “Death is the central driving force for the abortion movement. Death and the absence of new life are also the connection in among the LGBT movement.”
The radio host took to the airwaves to warn about the dangers of putting children in a “same-sex environment”, cautioning parents about letting their kids attend sleepovers.
On her website, Harvey warns: “If you promote sexual behavior to impressionable kids, more teens – especially those with fewer moral bearings—will say, ‘Why not?’
“In same sex circles, homosexual hook-ups can become a daring adventure at camp-outs and sleepovers.
“Opportunity is everywhere that students of the same sex gather or socialize, and it’s one reason homosexuality has traditionally been taboo at schools, camps, and youth organizations.”
Speaking on Christian radio show From the Median, she explained: “What happens is, any time there is any kind of same-sex environment… boys together, girls together, it attracts the people that would take advantage of them, and then it will be someone of the same sex, so access is what these people want.”
“They want access to youth and access even to corruption. It might not be sexual, but it might just be moral corruption of some kind. Their older peers who also are corrupted already. You know, so many kids are into pornography and homosexual pornography is part of that.
“Kids are sexualized early online, you don’t even have to have somebody involved in it. So those may be the people that your kids are in a sleepover with or at camp with, you know, is these kids who are already highly sexualized and nobody may know it, but it’ll come out in the middle of the night.
“This is something to be very cautious about.”
Harvey recently called for the appointment of a special counsel to investigate gay rights groups.
