Have you seen this man? Appeal to find missing gay Londoner launched
Missing Persons UK have launched an appeal to find missing gay man Phil Nicol after he was last seen over a fortnight ago.
Member of the LGBT community Phil Nicol, 47, was last seen by his partner on 1 March before he left their home address in Peckham.
Nicol was last sighted at the 02 Centre on Finchley Road, London on 3 March.
While the majority of people who go missing will return or be found within 24 hours (79%), only 2% will remain missing for longer than a week, say the charity.
An estimated 135,382 individuals were reported missing in England and Wales in 2015/16.
In 2015/16 242,190 missing incidents were recorded by the police in England and Wales.
Adults are likely to be missing for longer periods than children.
Anyone who has seen Phil or has any idea of his whereabouts is urged to contact Southwark Police via 101 or call or text the charity Missing People on 116 000.
