Everything you need to know about RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10
Attention, UK Racers! Drag Race season 10 is about to commence.
And the best news is the first episode is available for British audiences to inhale from their tellyboxes only one day after American audiences.
Drag Race kicks off 22 March on on VH1 in the States and on 23 March on Netflix in the UK, and audiences can look forward to a fresh episode dropping every week following that.
The tenth series of the drag reality show features a new cast of sashaying hopefuls battling for the crown.
Meet the cast members for the series: Kameron, Miz, Mayhem, Aquaria, Monet, Asia, Dusty, Eureka, Kalorie, Monique, The Vixen, Yuhua and Vanessa.

Christina Aguilera gives the first episode of season 10 a bump as a guest judge, as the cast are given the glamourous task of finding something appropriate to wear for the runway in a dollar store.
Lean in, we’ve heard another few tidbits we want to share: namely, the surprise re-arrival of two dozen former Drag Racers, including Jinkx Monsoon, Jiggly Caliente, Adore Delano, Laganja Estranja, Yara Sofia, Kim Chi, Raven and Manila Luzon.

The former queens are back to surprise season 9 racer Eureka O’Hara, who left due to an injury.
Eureka is competing again in season 10, and in a preview clip shared by EW RuPaul has one message: “I’ve invited back some of my favourite queens from the past decade to help me judge this challenge. To win, you must slay the runway. Do whatever it takes to stand out from this legendary crowd.”
Eureka, shocked, replied: “I’m looking at all these faces of my peers. Clearly they’re judging the s—t out of me,… This is a lot of pressure on the first day. Season 10 ain’t playing, baby!”
Drag Race is a reality series which pits drag queens against each other to perform drag shows on a catwalk as they compete to be crowned winner.

Show host Ru Paul is in search of the next top “drag superstar” and mentors the cast as well as hosting the show and being the head judge on the show too.
American TV personalities Michelle Visage, Ross Mathews and Carson Kressley are the other permanent judges on the show, but a rotating panel of guest judges (including Aguilera this series) appear here and there.
Contestants take part in weekly challenges which lead to the ultimate final challenge, where one racer will be crowned drag queen of the series.
Challenges are split into “mini” and “main” challenges, with one main challenge per episode which has its own distinct theme. Challenges can involve making outfits, or the way an individual queen conducts themselves in front of an audience.

RuPaul came under scrutiny recently for saying he wouldn’t allow trans contestants who take hormones to compete on Drag Race, for which he has since apologised.
Talking to the Guardian, he said that he would “probably not” allow a trans woman to compete on the show, despite the fact that Miss Peppermint, who is trans, competed on season nine of the show and became a finalist.
But an apology followed on Twitter: “Each morning I pray to set aside everything I THINK I know, so I may have an open mind and a new experience. I understand and regret the hurt I have caused. The trans community are heroes of our shared LGBTQ movement. You are my teachers,” he said.
