Christina Aguilera reveals her 2002 song was about ex-boyfriend coming out as gay
Pop extraordinaire Christina Aguilera was the first guest judge to star on season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
The Grammy winner made a storming appearance on the show, and while we won’t reveal what happened in the show – no spoilers please – she did share her own surprising experience of gay men.

The Beautiful singer opened up on spin-off show Untucked that one of her most famous hits is about discovering an ex-partner was gay.
Her 2002 song Infatuation was prompted by the boyfriend coming out.
The song, off Aguilera’s Stripped album, is about forbidden love and the obsession she builds over a Latin lover.
And it turns out that lover — whom Aguilera dated, but did not name on the show — was actually gay.
“It was heartbreaking because I found out he played for your team, not mine,” Aguilera, now 37, explained.
“He’s gonna see this, he’s gonna be mad!” competing queen Vanessa Vanjie Mateo noted.
“I hope so, girl” Aguilera joked in return.
In a clip released ahead of the season launch, Aguilera states that “only one Drag Race judge is perfect for season 10”.
She hasn’t released an album since 2012, so fans are hoping that her appearance on the 10th season of Drag Race signals a new album.
RuPaul’s Drag Race won two Emmys last season, and the Queen of Drag has promised that this season will be just as good.
Talking about the release of the new season, Mama Ru said that to celebrate a decade of Drag Race they’ve “pulled out all the stops”.
“The queens, the challenges and the shenanigans are off the mother-tucking charts,” she said.

She said: “While preparing for season 10, I realised that one of our contestants was 11-years-old when we first launched Drag Race.
“The fact that we’re still here and still going strong is because of our talented queens.”
RuPaul went on to add that the news season would continue to challenge and build drag as an art.
“They are the heart and soul of the series. And as they continue to evolve and push the boundaries of drag, so does Drag Race.”
