Eagles of Death Metal frontman calls Parkland campaigners ‘disgusting vile abusers of the dead’

Frontman for Eagles of Death Metal and Bataclan survivor Jesse Hughes has blasted the Parkland survivors who are campaigning for tighter gun controls in the US as ‘disgusting vile abusers of the dead’ on Instagram.
Speaking out against the Parkland shooting survivors, aka the pioneers of March for Our Lives and Never Again movement such as Emma Gonzales, the singer said that they operated “at the expense of your classmates’ blood.”
“When the truth don’t line up with your bullshit narrative just hold your breath and stamp your feet and refused [sic] to except [sic]it,” wrote Hughes.
“Then take multiple days off of school playing hooky at the expense of 16 of your classmates blood….!…. it might be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic and disgusting…”
Hughes also posted a doctored image of Gonzales tearing up the Constitution, which had been manipulated from the original Teen Vogue shoot which featured her ripping up a poster more commonly seen at gun target practice.
“As the survivor of a mass shooting I can tell you from first-hand experience that all of you protesting and taking days off from school insult the memory of those who were killed and abuse and insult me and every other lover of liberty by your every action,” he said.
“May everyone [sic] of these disgusting vile abusers of the dead live as long as possible so they can have the maximum amount of time to endure their shame….and be Cursed.”
After the Bataclan attack, Hughes also said that France’s strict gun control laws were to blame for people dying at the concert when it was struck by a terrorist attack.
“Did your French gun control stop a single fucking person from dying at the Bataclan? And if anyone can answer yes, I’d like to hear it because I don’t think so,” he said at the time.

Since the band member posted the rant, which has been deleted, fans have posted on the Eagles of Death Metal’s Facebook page that they will no longer be supporting the group.
“I was an EODM fan, saw them live,” wrote one commenter.
“What Jesse said about the Parkland survivors was disgusting. His tirade appears to be nothing more than a tantrum because he doesn’t agree with or like what some teenage high school kids are saying. Jesse, you’ve lost a fan today, hope it was worth it for your political tirade against teenagers you don’t like.”
