Bachelor in Paradise Australia has an openly bisexual participant who is not afraid to talk about her sexuality on the air – and viewers are delighted.
The show, which is in its first season, features Megan Marx, who found love on The Bachelor Australia by giving up on the guy at the heart of the show and running off with another female contestant, Tiffany Scanlon.
Megan revealed the relationship on Instagram, writing that “I met Tiffany in a very strange situation. Well… we were kind of dating the same guy. And it was filmed and put on TV?
“From that first cocktail party, it was like this instant calibration between souls, as if we had known each other once before,” she added.
The couple has since broken up, and Megan has ventured back to The Bachelor franchise with hopes of finding new love – and she’s talked openly about her sexuality.
Talking to host Osher Gunsberg – who has confirmed on Twitter that Megan “can give her rose to ANYONE that she chooses” – she said: “There’s definitely a potential to hook up with guys or girls in Paradise.

“I just want to get there and see what happens.”
She continued: “Obviously, I like girls and guys.

“I don’t know if any of the girls are going to swing my way, but if they do, we’ll see what happens.”
Megan, who has survived her first rose cerremony, added: “I’m lucky, right?

Fans were ecstatic with the way she talked about her bisexuality openly and with pride.

Last year, The Bachelor Australia welcomed its first ever bisexual contestant.
Natalie Holmberg, a 27-year-old midwife from Adelaide, came out during the reality show’s fifth season premiere.
She revealed to the bachelor of the moment, Matthew Johnson – known as Matty J – that her last relationship was with a woman.

In an interview with local publication The Advertiser, she said: “I’d like to be a role model for those who felt slightly like I did…those who may have felt attracted to a woman, but are confused.
“Maybe I can show that you’re allowed to be both,” she added.

“I don’t want to be pigeonholed as a bisexual… the fact we are even having this conversation now goes to show that we’ve still got a way to go to normalise sexuality,” she said.
“(But) maybe this is that one step closer to having a gay Bachelor one day.”
