Gay candidate leaks his own nudes for ‘transparent’ political campaign
A gay political candidate in West Hollywood has published his own nudes as he runs for office.
Eric Jon Schmidt is one of several candidates running for West Hollywood City Council – but came up with a bizarre and unique campaign pledge.
The candidate said he planned to run an “absolutely transparent campaign” for office, sharing a link to a explicit website to which he had uploaded dozens of nudes and pictures of himself having gay sex.
Schmidt, who goes by the name Need2BNude on the site, describes himself as a as “an average, down-to-earth, guy-next-door type”, adding: “Looking at me you would never know that I’m a horny little sexhibitionist.”
He adds: “I’m not a Porn star and don’t want to be. I don’t get paid for doing videos and I don’t make money from them. I just like doing it.”
Speaking to WeHoVille, he said: “I am 100% transparent. I have nothing but good intentions and I am not running against anyone, just their seats.
“I have nothing negative to say about the others and never will. I do not think it will hurt my campaign anymore than it would a candidate’s stamp collecting hobby.
“My hobbies do not affect any other part of my life….I do think it will help my campaign for people who believe the human body as art. Plus it shows that I believe in transparency and I’m not afraid to express myself.”
He added: “I am not a nudist. I don’t do everything nude. I am an exhibitionist. Actually, I’m kind of shy. But, I’m not just an exhibitionist, I’m also a sexhibitionist which means I like to be watched having sex.
“I like to do vids for people to enjoy. I don’t always have to have sex in front of a camera. I can be discrete. My Partner and I have a very normal sexual relationship.”
Schmidt, who says he will not be accepting campaign contributions, listed political concerns including “improving public safety, expanding programs that serve low income and disabled seniors, a more positive approach to the city’s Eastside and ensuring that the compensation of city employees is in line with that of similar municipalities”.
