ABBA musical Mamma Mia! extends booking into 2019 and announces new cast – here’s how to get tickets
The London cast of Mamma Mia! have celebrated 19 years in the West End by extending their run and refreshing their cast.

A raft of new actors are joining the cast to play key roles in the musical set on a Greek island.
From Monday June 11 Ricky Butt will play Rosie, Neil Moors will be Harry, Stephen Beckett begins as Bill, Georgia Louise plays Sophie, Alec Porter will be Sky, Charlotte O’Rourke will play Ali, Leah St Luce stars as Lisa and Eamonn Cox will portray Eddie.
The cast celebrated 19 years with a giant Mamma Mia cake backstage as they welcomed new cast members.
Mamma Mia! is a musical produced by musical theatre maestro Judy Craymer, based on the iconic songbook of ABBA.
Mamma Mia! has music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA, and was written by Catherine Johnson and directed by Phyllida Lloyd.
It features a set of lovers and one family who meet on a Greek island.
Sophie has gone in search of her long-lost father, but her search unearths three of her mother’s exes who are reunited with their past love on the eve of an unforgettable wedding.
Over 60 million people have seen Mamma Mia, either in London or around the world.
The landmark show has toured as 50 different productions, and been performed in 16 different languages.
Mamma Mia is also currently touring the UK for the first time, in a bid to make the show’s uplifting and feel-good themes relatable for audiences who don’t live in the capital.
Mamma Mia was turned into a film also produced by Judy Craymer, which starred Pierce Brosnan as one of the wayward exes thrown back in front of his ex, played by Meryl Streep.
A second feature film, Mamma Mia Here We Go Again, has been commissioned and is due for a release in summer 2018.
