Gay gorilla sex surprises zoo visitors

Two gorillas have surprised – and amused – their audience by engaging in enthusiastic gay sex.
Nature photographer Shirley Kroos stumbled on the animals while taking pictures at Rotterdam Zoo.
As Kroos watched, the gorillas went through an assortment of sexual positions.
The animals were revealed to be Aybo, who is three years old, and Thabo, whose third birthday is April 18.
According to the zoo, the gorillas are half-siblings, as they have the same father.
Kroos said, “They were doing some adult things with each other playfully,” according to the Metro.

“Before and after they were running around with some toys they were given by the zookeepers. So they were just in a playful mood and enjoyed each other’s company.”
Kroos said it was lovely to see the gorillas doing what they do.
“It was great watching these two boys having fun together – they made me laugh and it was very unique capturing them on camera,” she said.

On Facebook, she added: “well what do you have to say, exercise makes art? I really laughed at them today. Crazy rascals.”
In 2016, an Australian researcher documented evidence of homosexual activity in female gorillas who shifted between taking part in gay and straight sex.
Last year, UKIP candidate Gisela Allen said that gay people should not come out, in the same way that she should not admit her attraction to gorillas.

She explained: “When I go to a zoo and I see a gorilla my hormones go absolutely crazy. I find a gorilla very attractive.”
The gorilla sex photos have come to light after a gay vulture couple – also in the Netherlands – said goodbye to their adopted child.
The griffon vulture, who has been released in Sardinia, was given to the couple when it was an egg, and their care led to Artis Amsterdam Royal Zoo’s first successful hatching in five years.

It is of course not abnormal for many animals – hundreds, in fact – to engage in homosexual activities or partnerships.
Dogs, for instance, certainly have gay sex.
Last year, a polar bear called Szenja died just weeks after her same-sex partner of 20 years was transferred to a different zoo.
The bear, who was left alone at SeaWorld San Diego after her companion, Snowflake, was moved to Pittsburgh Zoo, died of a broken heart, animals rights charity PETA claimed.
The bears had lived together for almost all 21 years of Szenja’s life.
A zoo in New Zealand also revealed last year that its lesbian penguin couple was raising a chick together.
The 24-year-old penguins, named Thelma and Louise, fostered the chick after its birth mother was left by her partner, leaving her struggling to raise the chick.
And two gay penguins at a Chinese zoo were exposed last year for stealing eggs from straight couples.
The authorities at Polar Land in Harbin said the gay penguins had a strong instinctive urge to become parents.
Gay lions have repeatedly surprised zoo audiences by having sex in front of them, as they showed just how natural homosexuality is.
