Stop everything, Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski is releasing a cookbook
Queer Eye hunk and cuisine master of the scene Antoni Porowski will be publishing a cookbook.
Antoni, who got a lot of flack for his somewhat avocado-based culinary range during the first series of Queer Eye, will be telling the haters to back off and is producing a 100-recipe strong cookbook for his fans.
“I could not be more thrilled to be writing about the recipes I love and think are essential to any novice home cook, professional, and somewhere in between,” Porowski said in a statement, Entertainment Weekly reported.
Antoni, who won fans over with his loveable appeal and very handsome face, was routinely mocked by fans for only making simple dishes on the show.
But the book’s publisher believes that Antoni’s simple hot dog, guacamole and grapefruit salad recipes are perfect for “newbies in the kitchen.”
“Antoni has an appealing vulnerability that helps him connect instantly with newbies in the kitchen,” publisher Rux Martin from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt told Entertainment Weekly.
“But his recipes are so stylish and contemporary that they pull in sophisticates too. I was drawn to their blend of European classical approach and American accessibility.”
“Avocado-stuffed pierogies for everyone!!!” joked the show’s culinary expert when he announced the news on Twitter.
The Queer Eye star indulged in a low-key cover-up operation when he joked about creating a recipe book on Twitter.
Just two weeks ago, Antoni joked that his entire cookbook premise has “gone out of the window” after New York Times published a collection of 53 avocado recipes.
“Ugh there goes my ENTIRE cookbook fantasy premise ,” he wrote on Twitter.
Antoni’s cookbook will be released in Spring 2019.
In the meantime, it might be best to jot down some recipes from the second season of the programme, which will return to our screens later on this year.
The popular reboot of the makeover show has garnered critical acclaim, and boasts a 96 percent Rotten Tomatoes rating.
