Fab Five are back: Queer Eye Season 2 release date on Netflix revealed

Netflix has announced the premiere date for the second season of Queer Eye – and fans don’t have long to wait before the Fab Five return to our screens.
Queer Eye Season 2 will launch globally on June 15, which is just a few weeks away.
It has been 15 years since the Emmy Award-winning series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy first debuted and changed the face of reality TV.
The reboot of the show – which sees five gay men educating men about fashion, hair, culture, home decor and food – has proved to be the must-watch, feel-good programme of the year.
And now more good news for fans, Antoni Porowski, Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Jonathan Van Ness and Tan France will be returning in June to transform eight more stylistically challenged men.
This season, the Fab Five are set to return to the Georgia heartland, forging connections with communities from a wide array of backgrounds and beliefs and touching on everything from self-love to good food, for another emotional rollercoaster.

Netflix VP of content Bela Bajaria said: “These series are indicative of what we’re trying to accomplish for Netflix unscripted: working with world-class producers to create the best unscripted shows on television.
“These series elevate the genre with innovative takes on familiar formats. They deliver immersive and nuanced stories. They elicit so many emotions from viewers, from tears of laughter to tears of joy — and that’s just Queer Eye.”
The Fab Five all celebrated the news too.
Tan France wrote: “HUGE NEWS!!! We’re coming back for Season 2 ya’ll!!”
Earlier this year, it was revealed the second season of Queer Eye had been secretly filmed before the first even went to air.
Interior design expert Bobby Berk made the confession in an interview with Variety, when he was asked if Season 2 would take on feedback from fans.

“These we actually shot right at the tail of the first season,” he said.
“So, they’ve already been shot and they’re ready to go. There’s not anything we’ve learned since then because we did shoot these already [before Season 1 aired].”
In an interview with Gay Times earlier this year, Karamo Brown said he wanted to get different people involved in the future.
“I’d want to immediately get women involved, and the trans community,” he said.
“Those are two things I’ve already sent to producers. All of the Fab Five have suggested it.”
