Graham Norton says he can’t use Grindr because of his BBC job

Television presenter Graham Norton has said he can’t use Grindr because he works for the BBC – although he has tried using Tinder, before quitting the dating app.
The Irish comedian opened up about his love life in a new interview with journalist Katie Couric.
“I couldn’t do Grindr, because you know, of what it is, and I work for the BBC and I felt Tinder was socially acceptable, I could do Tinder, but no more,” said the host of The Graham Norton Show.
He also discussed why he doesn’t like living with other people.
“I would prefer to live alone for the rest of my life rather than live with towels folded incorrectly,” said Norton.
“Petty is important. That’s why marriages break up. Marriages don’t break up because of big things.”
The presenter added: “People co-habit because they have to, because it makes economic sense, I don’t think anybody wants to live with anybody.
“It’s like the toilet paper is hung the wrong way around, it’s kind of the bread doesn’t go there, and also my problem is of course, I’m old, so the longer you leave it, the worse this gets.”

He told the Guardian: “I’ve failed all my relationship exams, and yes, it’s a different life, but I’m still living.
“You’re far better off finding ways to enjoy the life you’re living than mourning the life you’re not, which is a double whammy of unhappiness.”
He added: “And if you want someone to share your life, well, no one wants to share a miserable life.
“Look like you’re having fun, and someone might want to join the parade. A funeral cortege? Not so much.”

It was revealed in July last year that Norton is one of highest earners at the BBC, earning between £850,000 and £899,999.
In March 2017, Norton came under fire for pressuring Cara Delevingne into talking about her sex life on TV.
Live on BBC One, he told her: “I think your embarrassment threshold’s quite high.”
The Paper Towns actress responded: “Why? I’m embarrassed right now.”
Norton clarified: “We’re talking about having sex on a plane.”
Delevingne was able to keep her cool but struggled to deflect the chat show host’s incessant questions, even with help from fellow guests including Jonathan Ross and Matt Lucas.
