Partner of Love Island star Sophie Gradon dies, weeks after her death

The partner of Love Island star Sophie Gradon has been found dead.

Gradon, who appeared on the 2016 version of Love Islandtragically passed away on June 20, with her fellow ex-contestants criticising the show’s aftercare. 

Just weeks after announcing her death, Gradon’s boyfriend Aaron Armstrong has now also been found dead.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police confirmed: “At around 12.20pm today [10 July] police received a report from the ambulance service that a 25-year-old man had been found deceased at a property on Furnace Road in Bebside, Blyth.

“There is not believed to be any third party involvement.”

A day before, Armstrong had posted an emotional message for Gradon on Instagram.

He wrote: “just wish I could cuddle you all day miss you so much man Sophie not a minute goes by with out your gorgeous smile being a picture in my mind everyday we spent together was so amazing I need them days back I love you princess “.

Gradon had previously spoken out about her battles with anxiety and depression.

The cause of both deaths have not been officially confirmed, but police have confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances.

Gradon was the only out LGBT person to ever appear on Love Island.

The model was open about her bisexuality during her time on Love Islandwhich has faced criticism for its lack of LGBT representation previously.

She was also the first person to form a same-sex couple with fellow islander Katie Salmon.

Salmon paid tribute to the late star after Gradon’s shock death at age 32, saying that the world had “failed” her.

In a lengthy post on Twitter, Salmon wrote: “I urge everyone to be kind to every person they meet and speak with on social media and in person a simple smile, a simple nice comment can make a difference.”

“You really don’t know the battles they go through every single day.

“The world has failed you beautiful.”
