New York police seek suspect who allegedly ‘shouted homophobic and anti-white abuse’ in attack
New York police are seeking a man in connection with a hate crime attack on a bus.
The attack took place on Monday, July 30, on a B25 bus bus on Fulton Street in Brooklyn Heights.
Police say that a man approached the 29-year-old victim on the bus and hit him in the face, shouting discriminatory remarks.
According to Gothamist, police allege the man’s comments were “along the lines of, ‘I hate all you white motherfuckers,’ ‘You’re a faggot’, ‘I hate everyone like you, white bitch homo.'”
The man fled the bus after the attack.
The victim suffered swelling and pain to the face.
WABC adds: “Police describe the suspect as a black male, approximately 5’10”, approximately 180-200 pounds, with an earring in his left ear; last seen wearing sunglasses, a black baseball hat, a black sweatshirt, and black pants.”
