Kristen Stewart kisses Chloë Sevigny in trailer for lesbian murder film
A new trailer for biographical film Lizzie shows Kristen Stewart getting close with co-star Chloë Sevigny.
The upcoming movie tells the story of an American woman called Lizzie Borden, who was tried and acquitted of murdering her mother and stepfather with an axe in Fall River, Massachusetts, in 1892.
The film, directed by Craig William Macneill, portrays Borden (Sevigny) as a single 32-year old woman, who is a social outcast.
She soon meets the younger Bridget Sullivan (Stewart) – her real-life rumoured lover – after she comes to live with the Borden family to work as a house maid.
The pair start up a romance, hatching a plan together, which comes to a dark end.
The murder case became a cause célèbre, and is a well-known topic in American pop culture.
It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January this year, and is set to be properly released in September.
The movie also stars Fiona Shaw, Jay Huguley, Jamey Sheridan, Denis O’Hare, Kim Dickens, and Jeff Perry.
The chilling trailer shows Stewart and Sevigny’s characters getting intimate by holding hands and sharing a brief kiss.

In July, it was officially confirmed that Stewart would star in Sony Pictures’ rebooted Charlie’s Angels, alongside Naomi Scott, and rising British star Ella Balinska
The Elizabeth Banks-directed film will see the next generation of Angels working for the mysterious Charlie, reports Deadline. Banks will also play Bosley in the movie.
Stewart also recently turned queer heads when she was photographed staring lovingly into the eyes of Cate Blanchett.
The actors were snapped together when they sitting on the Cannes Film Festival jury, along with other stars like Léa Seydoux and director Ava DuVernay.
Stewart was photographed when she repeatedly gazed – or “gayzed,” according to fans – at Blanchett, sending them into a tailspin of ecstasy.
The former Twilight star came out in 2015, when she confirmed she was “not hiding” her relationship with then-girlfriend Alicia Cargile.
Stewart, who is currently dating Stella Maxwell, said on Saturday Night Live last year that she was “like, so gay.”
