Jonathan Van Ness Emmys 2018 red carpet look criticised by haters

Fashion icon Jonathan Van Ness has expertly taken down a hater who insulted his Emmys red carpet look.
The Queer Eye stylist was attending the awards in Los Angeles, where the Fab 5 picked up their first ever Emmy.
The Netflix revival of Bravo’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy won the ‘outstanding structured reality programme’, besting Shark Tank, Antiques Roadshow, Fixer Upper, Lip Sync Battle and Who Do You Think You Are.
But amid the celebration some haters took to JVN’s Instagram, where they commented on a picture of the stylist on the red carpet.
One person called Ness “the guy in the dress” and described him as “like the villain in Despicable Me 3.”
But JVN perfectly responded to the commenter and wrote, “I look fucking stunning and my name is Jonathan, snap chat filter using on your insta tiny circle private profile having self.”
Many other social media users applauded Ness’ look and plenty of celebrities piled in on the love-in.
Tess Holliday, an american plus sized model, wrote: “proud of you BB,” while actress Kelly Ripa said: “Dream. Absolute.”
The Fab 5 won three Emmys overall and JVN’s co-star Bobby Berk, interior design wizard on the show, called the moment “surreal” on his own account, while Tan France, the show’s style guru shared a selfie with the coveted prize.

“Congrats to the @QueerEye family on 3 Emmys!!! Love and inclusion takes front stage,” Antoni Porowski, the show’s food and wine expert (and thirst trap) wrote on Twitter.
“This show is so important, thank you for what this fab five are doing to help the LGBT movement,” creator and executive producer David Collins said upon accepting the award.
Queer Eye took home two other awards: outstanding picture editing for a structured or competition reality programme and outstanding casting for a reality programme.

“To be recognised at all, we’ve already won,” Van Ness told ET following the news of their nominations.
Van Ness was also nominated for outstanding short form variety series for his Funny or Die series, Gay of Thrones, but the award went to Apple Music’s Carpool Karaoke.
Queer Eye took Netflix by storm after premiering in February with its first two seasons earning a 93 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
In 2004, the show’s original run won an Emmy for outstanding reality programme. Its original fashion consultant Carson Kressley (also a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race) said he was glad the reboot was nominated, but added: “it was a little more groundbreaking back when we won an Emmy in 2004.”
Queer Eye’s third season, shot in Kansas City, will air on Netflix sometime in 2019.
