George Michael called ‘f***ed up icon’ by boyfriend Fadi Fawaz
Fadi Fawaz, the boyfriend of the late George Michael, has branded the singer a “f***ed up icon” in a rant on social media.
Fawaz, a hair stylist, insulted Michael in a now-deleted post on his Instagram story.
“My morning thought is whatever I get from that f***ed up icon, I will find the most f***ed up, drugged up person in the street and I will give that dirty money to that most f***ed up, drugged person,” he wrote, according to The Daily Star.
He added: “I wanna sit back and watch how that dirty money is going to be spent. I can not f***ing wait.”
Fawaz and Michael had been together since 2011 until Michael’s death in December 2016.
In July, it was reported that Fawaz was left nothing in the late pop star’s will, according to the star’s cousin.
Michael’s cousin, Andros Georgiou has revealed to The Sun on Sunday that Fawaz was not mentioned in the will at all.
He said that the people mentioned in the will have already been contacted. These are thought to include his sisters, staff and charities.
Andros told the newspaper that Fawaz may be paid a settlement to encourage him to leave Michael’s Regent’s Park home, where he still resides.
He said: “Fawaz is threatening to go all the way to High Court but I think the estate will have to settle with him.
“He’s been offered £500,000 and I think the estate should pay a couple of million to get rid of him.”
Earlier this year, Fawaz revealed that he was prepared to sell Michael’s possessions so he can “survive” the ongoing legal battle. However, he later claimed this was actually a Twitter hack.
The posts on Twitter said: “George Michael Items for sale if you interested please let me know. It’s a way so I can survive till we solve the problems with his family and lawyer. Since I’m left with no help and since no one is human anymore.
“Am willing to sell any story as well…
“I am done with being respectful towards George Michael or the rest.
“I will fight for my right from George Michael until the last day of my life.
“And no I won’t get a job.”
Michael’s ex-partner, Kenny Goss, is also said to be contesting the will, which he was also excluded from, in relation to their Goss-Michael Foundation.
Michael left an estimated £105 million behind when he died suddenly on Christmas Day in 2016.
Fawaz has also claimed in emails obtained by the Sun that Michael’s death was actually a suicide. Tweets were sent from his account in January 2017 which also claimed that Michael wanted to die, however, he later denied sending them, and suggested his Twitter account may have been hacked.
