You can now buy a “ghosted” costume for Halloween and it’s too much
When we think of Halloween outfits, most of us think of the usual ghosts, ghouls and witches.
But you can now buy a “ghosted” costume which is all too real.
The outfit, which is being sold on the website Party City in the US for $24.99, is a white dress covered in emojis.
On it, you can see messages like “see you tonight?” and “hello” – to mimic the scenario too many people have faced when dating.
Ghosting is when someone suddenly cuts all communication with someone they are dating, without any warning and explanation.
Currently, though, the costume is only being marketed at women.
“If someone’s blowing up your phone, ghost them in a Ghosted Costume for women!” the Party City description reads.
“The costume is a hooded white dress designed to look like a ghost with a series of unanswered texts on the front.”
Twitter’s reactions were mixed, to say the least.
“Cuz guys neverrrrr get ghosted. Halloween just gets worse every year,” one person wrote.
Another commented: “Next time someone annoys you on Tinder, rock this Halloween ‘ghosted’ costume.”
