Is WWE 2K19 out yet?
WWE 2K19 is coming out this week and it marks an important benchmark for the wrestling game series.
The latest game is the 20th in the series’ history and marks a different approach for the franchise. It includes new “Tower” modes and a revival of the Showcase mode which was absent from the previous instalment.
The Standard Edition of the game has been available to pre-order since June and fans who opted to order it have been rewarded with Rey Mysterio and Ronda Rousey as playable bonus characters.
The wrestling legend Mysterio and female wrestling superstar Rousey are available exclusively to gamers who made an advance purchase, although they are also included as part of the Deluxe Edition.
When is wwe 2k19 coming out?
The game’s Deluxe Edition is out on October 5, so if you’re keen to sample some of that edition’s exclusive features – including a greater selection of WWE Hall of Famers as playable characters – you can get gaming.
The Standard Edition is out on October 9, which means a short wait before getting a chance to break into the ring and emulate your wrestling heroes.
The difference in price might make it worth the wait, however, as the Standard Edition comes in at £54.99 whilst the Deluxe Edition will set you back £84.99.
Will WWE 2K19 come to Nintendo Switch?
The previous WWE game in the series, WWE 2K18, was released for the Nintendo Switch a few months after the game launched for Xbox, PlayStation 4 and PC.
However, the critical response for the Nintendo Switch version was largely negative. The Metacritic score for the Switch title was poor, coming in at 35 percent based on six reviews.
As a result, there don’t appear to be plans to bring the title out for the Nintendo Switch. Although, since Nintendo are looking into cloud-based releases for other games not designed for the console, it’s not inconceivable that a similar arrangement may be made for WWE 2K19 in the future.
