Wrestling fans and gamers have been enjoying the recent release of the new WWE title, but is it available for the Xbox 360?
If, like a lot of WWE fans, you’ve been looking forward to the release of another instalment of the game so you can climb into the ring and take on your favourite WWE avatars, then the long wait ended on Tuesday when the Standard Edition finally came out.
But if you’re an Xbox gamer who hasn’t yet made the switch from 360 to the newer Xbox One, you might be wondering: can I can play the game on the older console?

The last WWE game to be released for Xbox 360 was WWE 2K17. From WWE 2K18 onwards, the game has not been released in an Xbox 360 version since, as of 2016, Microsoft announced that they would no longer be manufacturing the console.
If you own previous titles in the WWE series and want to know if online play is supported for those games, the answer is yes. Although Microsoft made it clear that they would no longer produce or sell games for the Xbox 360 after April 2016, they have made it clear that they would keep Xbox Live services available to the console.

IGN gave the game a 7.3/10 score, which is actually a little lower than the 8.2/10 that they gave to the Xbox 360 supported WWE 2K17. However, the new game’s aggregate score on Metacritic is 78/100 (WWE 2K17’s score was a lower 68/100) and if you want a chance to enjoy more up-to-date characters and costumes then only the latest version will scratch that itch.
