Kim Kardashian ‘wishes’ she’d found Caitlyn Jenner cheating rather than dressed as a woman
Kim Kardashian has suggested that walking in on Caitlyn Jenner dressed as a woman was worse than if she’d seen her cheating.
During her appearance on the second episode of The Alec Baldwin Show on Sunday (October 21), Kardashian also repeatedly deadnamed her former stepmother and used the wrong pronouns to describe her.
The American celebrity, who is worth $350 million according to Forbes, told Baldwin that when she was “maybe 25,” she “walked in on Caitlyn. My mum was out of town and I walked in on Caitlyn.
“It was Bruce but dressed up as a woman, in the garage at my mum’s house, and I ran in, packed a bag so fast, shaking, and ran out and called Kourtney, and said: ‘I have to come spend the weekend with you.’
“I was hysterically crying, and she was like: ‘What is it, did you catch Bruce cheating? And I was like: ‘I wish, I don’t know what I just saw. I ran out, didn’t come home for the weekend.”
The reality TV star and business mogul also responded to Baldwin saying that “when I knew him and he was married to Kris and they had a family and brought the girls to school, there wasn’t a drop of Caitlyn in him” by nodding and telling him: “Not a drop.”
Kardashian’s comments sparked anger from some, with one Twitter user writing: “Kim K coming forward about when she first saw her mom Caitlyn dressed in clothes and freaking out; packing a bag and running away from [their] house to call her sister should honestly be a much bigger deal than it is rn.”
Another said: “Kim talking about Caitlyn using the wrong pronouns, her “dead name” etc is so f**king irresponsible ESPECIALLY at this time. #TransRightsAreHumanRights learn it, live it. @KimKardashian not a cute look. Cancelled.”
One person who saw an advert for the episode tweeted: “ABC’s running a promo of the Alec Baldwin show where he & Kim K laugh at and misgender Caitlyn, so I hope they get lice!!!!”
Kardashian, who has tens of millions of online followers, followed her guest spot on Baldwin’s new ABC show by tweeting—seemingly in response to the Trump administration’s leaked proposal to define gender as the sex you’re assigned at birth—that “#TransRightsAreHumanRights.”
Other Twitter users have pointed out that she was married to rapper Kanye West, who has been criticised by multiple LGBT+ celebrities and allies over his vocal support for President Donald Trump, with one commenter telling Kardashian: “Take him out with the .”
Kardashian also faced a backlash earlier this year from people who called her homophobic over a row with male model Tyson Beckford.
Beckford had incurred the Kardashian’s wrath after he posted comments on Instagram suggesting she was unattractive.
The Make Me a Supermodel host claimed: “She is not real, doctor f***ed up her right hip… sorry I don’t care for it.”
Kardashian hit back by writing “Sis we all know why you don’t care for it”, including a nail polish emoji—which some fans interpreted as a reference to Beckford’s sexuality.
Beckford responded to Kardashian, insisting he was “not yo sis” before clarifying: “I support LGBTQ ️ ,even though I’m not gay.”
Speaking out on a radio show, Kardashian said: “For anyone to say that I am homophobic with the comment of saying ‘sis’?
“All my best friends are gay, I support the community, I love the community, they love me, that has nothing to do with this.”
