Drag queen reading for kids crashed over ‘homosexual agenda’
A woman was filmed gatecrashing a drag queen storytelling event for children, saying that it promoted promoted homosexual “perversion.”
The Cellar Door Bookstore in Riverside, California, was hosting a Halloween story time for children on Saturday (October 27) with readings by three drag queens.
But Genevieve Peters, a Los Angeles resident, was caught on video protesting against book store owner Linda Sherman-Nurick including drag queens at the event.
“She has invited the public to watch this perversion with these homosexuals,” said Peters in the video published by NBC 4 Los Angeles. “I’m sorry this is what’s happening.”

She added: “That’s what you get. This is our nation’s children, you have no right to tell us about our children.”
Peters refused to leave the shop, after being asked to do so by parents and security.
She was eventually escorted out of the venue by police.
Book store owner Sherman-Nurick told NBC that she would hold similar events in the future, adding that she hoped that “the generation that comes up will not have these kinds of fears, hatred and ugliness.”

She said that she had received phone calls from people telling her not to hold the drag queens storytelling event in the lead up to the event.
On her Facebook page, Peters describes herself as a “rabid Lover of America, Freedom, the Constitution and the GREATEST PRESIDENT Donald J. Trump!”
Jovani Morales, who performed as one of the drag queens at the event, told NBC that discrimination against LGBT+ people was commonplace.
“I’m used to this negativity and hate,” Morales said. “They’re screaming hateful things and negative comments that kids shouldn’t be hearing to begin with.”
Elsewhere in California, a gay pastoral associate recently resigned following a spate of homophobic abuse, including thugs breaking into his church’s offices and spray-painting “no fags” on a wall.
Aaron Bianco handed in his resignation letter to Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church on October 19, saying he was stepping down “out of fear for my family and myself,” according to National Catholic Reporter.
On October 15, vandals broke into the office where Bianco worked and graffitied the anti-gay slur onto the wall.
In an email to his colleagues on October 16, seen by PinkNews, Bianco explained that this act of vandalism was the latest in a series of homophobic incidents against him.
He said that he had been receiving emails and phone calls from individuals who were “equating homosexuality with pedophilia.”
