Nearly 11 million people watched the first episode of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2018 on Sunday night, and it certainly did not disappoint with the appearance of gay icon John Barrowman.
Openly gay actor John Barrowman is among the 10 celebrities to become a fellow campmate in Australia’s jungle.

But he is not only an actor, he is also a husband, singer, author, presenter and all-round gay icon.
He was born in Scotland but moved to the United States with his family when he was only eight years old, hence his American accent.
John Barrowman and Scott Gill have been a couple for an amazing 27 years.
Barrowman is predicted to have been paid between a whopping £120,000 and £200,000 to go into I’m a Celeb this year.
The 51 year old is already winning the heart of the nation with his singing outbursts, banter and, of course, his excellent motorboating skills from the first episode.

Barrowman is married to British man Scott Gill.
The Brit is not in the limelight like his husband. Instead, he an architect and a licenced pilot, as of 2013.
The married couple own homes designed by Gill in London and Cardiff, but they mostly live in Palm Springs, California with their beloved dogs.
Before joining the jungle, Barrowman had jokingly said that the main reason he decided to become a campmate was to “take a break” from his husband Gill.
However, we don’t doubt that Barrowman will miss his hubby as they’ve been an item for longer than half his lifetime. The gay couple have been together for an applaudable 27 years.
When did the gay couple meet and get married?

Barrowman and Gill met in 1991 at the Chichester Festival Theatre.
In fact, Gill had reportedly gone there to watch Barrowman in a play performance called Rope.
Barrowman had said that he knew “he wanted to spend the rest of his life” with the architect the moment they met.
In the jungle, Barrowman revealed that his first date with Gill was with Cher.
While asking his partner on a date, Cher had called to meet, and he initially turned the star down, explaining that he had some other plans.
Cher responded by asking Barrowman to bring the architect along.
Barrowman and Gill formed a civil partnership in December 2006, and then they finally got officially married seven years later in California, on July 2, 2013.
They are, therefore, among the first same-sex couples to get legally married.
Do they have children?
They don’t have any children but Barrowman said it is something that could happen in the future, depending on his husband and where his career leads them.
“We wouldn’t want a baby. We’d look at adopting an older child or teenager who might have been in trouble,” said the actor.
“We would also look at adopting a gay child, thrown out of their home because of their sexuality.”

Barrowman was streaming a Facebook live video from a jacuzzi when his naked husband Gill joined him.
Gill climbed into the hot tub, the live-stream accidentally exposed his penis to Barrowman’s thousands of followers.
When Barrowman realised what happened, he quickly turned the camera around and shouted, “Oh Scott! Oh my God! You just…. I’m live video! I can’t believe everyone just saw you naked.”
Barrowman later said, “The human form and the body, no matter what size you are, the nude body, there’s nothing wrong with it. we should celebrate how we look and what we have.”
