Trump fan says ‘unattractive’ women turn lesbian as ‘no man loves them’
A Trump supporter and far-right commentator has claimed that “unattractive” women become lesbians because it’s “hard to find a man to love them.”
The comments are the latest in a series of ridiculous claims made by rightwing activist Dave Daubenmire, known to his followers as “Coach Dave,” who has previously said he’s scared to let his daughters play softball in case they become lesbians.
“I look out at our sex-starved culture and the sex-starved nation in which we live and I would understand now why an unattractive woman might be drawn to an unattractive woman because, really, both of them probably, itās hard to find a man to love them,” Coach Dave said in a YouTube video.
“That sounds reallyāI’m just, you come here, I’ll tell you the truth.”
The edited clip was uploaded on the YouTube channel of Right Wing Watch, which monitors far-right activists, on November 20.
YOuTube users call out Coach Dave
YouTube users criticised Coach Dave for his nonsensical and malicious remarks.
“TO FOLLOW THIS LOGIC WHAT DOES AN UGLY GUY LIKE HIM DO? IS HE GAY TOO? HOPE NOT I WOULDN’T DO HIM,” one person said.
Another wrote: “I wonder if Dave has ever been with a woman before, honestly.”
And one person said: “Hopefully in 2020 we can kick these people to the trash heap of history where they belong.
“I’m sick of this nightmare and I’m sick of America being defined by this kind of cruelty.”
A fourth user simply listed the names of attractive queer women, including Kate McKinnon, Ellen Page, Cara Delevingne, and Amandla Stenberg.
Coach Dave fears daughters will become lesbians if they play sport
The far-right internet commentator, who praised Donald Trump for defeating Hillary Clintonās ālesbianā spirit, has even subjected his own family to his obsession with lesbianism.
In a video in February 2017, he said: “Our two daughters played college softballā¦ every time Iād go to the ball games, I kept an eye on my daughters to see if theyād taken the homo bait yetā¦ and they hadnāt.
“They didnāt have to because they werenāt cropped-haired wide-bottomed girls. They were pretty girls, godly women, they didnāt take the bait.
“But Iām telling mommies right now, if your daughters are good athletes, you better cover them in prayer because the recruiting that goes on, the pressure that goes on to be āone of the girlsā is enormous.”
